Sound familiar? The tablet market seems to be following the path of smartphones, but there is a key difference this time: Apple doesn’t have quite the head start they had back when the first iPhone was released. Android has made a big dent in the mobile industry and it’s looking to do the same for tablets. Apple sold 3 million iPads in the first 80 days and they’re expected to sell around 20 million more in 2011.

Punjab Police Website Hacked By Indian Hackers

Punjab Police’s official website has been hacked by Indian Hackers. The web page has still not been restored to original position and is displaying the hacked content. The Indian hackers group named “IGCOE_HACKER” still have control over the website.

Update: The website has been taken down by government after the hacking news.

PTA organises Telecom Consumer Forum

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) organized Telecom Consumer Forum with a theme “Together for Consumer Rights”, said a press release issued here on Thursday.

State Minister for Industries and Production, Dr Ayatullah Durrani was the chief guest on this occasion while Chairman PTA, Dr Mohammed Yaseen presided over the Forum. Read more »

Hacker’s Group ‘Pakbugs’ Got Arrested Today

Government officials today announced that they had traced a gang of hackers and arrested at least five suspects involved in defacing thousands of domestic and international websites and online fraud.

The “internationally-known hackers” have been picked up in an operation spanning the country over the past few weeks, reported AFP, citing Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) senior officer Mian Idrees.

HTC Ace to boast Android 3.0 with Dual-Core Processor

The funny thing with HTC phones is that all you need is a catchy word, say Nexus, Incredible, Desire etc and there is a pretty fair chance they would have a Android smartphone under that name.

The same holds for HTC Ace which is so far nothing but a rumored HTC phone that runs on Android and looks very much like the HTC Droid Incredible.
